| This model of work gives young people from across a group of schools/colleges etc the opportunity to write and rehearse orchestral music for public performance that may be used as part of course work or as personal skill development. |

| Alongside the composition element of this model, a central orchestral work is rehearsed by all those taking part. This piece is performed at the eventual concert by all players and may well reflect a unifying theme. (e.g. Dance Suite: Theme and Variations: Music for Ceremonies). |

| The project climaxes in a rehearsal and performance day for all players etc at which original pieces are run through and the large scale piece is rehearsed 'en masse' to public performance level. |
